how is the CMV1200 to Zynq 7100(?) designed?
10:09
trshfx
didn't found a schematic

does the CMV12000 connect to the zynq directly via the lvds channels?
10:13
Bertl
yes
10:13
trshfx
want to use it for slow motion capturing, that's y i ask :)
10:13
Bertl
sec, let me dig out the schematic for you
10:13
trshfx
ah, thx

10:15
Bertl
and it is a zynq 7020 on the zedboard
10:16
Bertl
(will be 7010 or 7020 on the microzed)
10:39
trshfx
is the CMV12000 datasheet only available after signing a NDA?
10:41
trshfx
i want to know if it has kind of ROI features for partial readout with higher framerates (like most small cmos imagers do)

trshfx
the flyer only says something about increasing the fps by decreasing the ADC resolution
10:42
trshfx
i mean, there is this "ROI windowing capability - row based only"
10:42
trshfx
what ever that means :)
10:43
trshfx
narrower rows -> higher fps cause of less pixels?
10:43
trshfx
that would be great
10:46
trshfx
if that implies that it's possible to capture 1080p with > 900 fps @ 10bit per pixel it would be great

Bertl
trshfx: maybe build your own?
12:02
Bertl
the robotic arm doesn't need high precision for this purpose, only high torque and a stable frame
12:02
Bertl
if you make the camera extremely light, e.g. by using a sensor only frontend with a cable, you can reduce the forces dramatically
12:03
Bertl
there are sensors out there which can do up to 5000FPS at moderate resolutins (1kx1k) which should be fine for that as well, but still with the cmv12k you could achieve a 10x speedup

trshfx
Bertl: yes, according to the datasheet (if i understood it correctly), the high speed capabilities of the sensor are quite nice
12:42
trshfx
Bertl: like those 1080p @ ca. 1k FPS
12:43
trshfx
Bertl: an robo arm is, what i already have
13:22
Bertl
so almost there then :)
