se6astian
me testing some cuts on the laser?
07:21
BAndiT1983
i mean the dieline design files, or do they not relate to the camera parts packaging?
07:28
se6astian
sure, they are for axiom beta parts and will be open sourced
07:33
BAndiT1983
nice!
07:35
se6astian
but first I need to find out if this works at all to make them, if the solution is stiff enough, etc.
07:37
BAndiT1983
just out of interest, have you considered the drag knife?
07:38
BAndiT1983
in general it should work, seen quite a bunch of videos with dieline design and laser cutting
07:38
BAndiT1983

07:39
se6astian

seen this list yesterday, haven't paid attention to the translation, but like i said, most specialized software is pricey or under subscription, haven't found anything in open-source or free area, so we could consider of replicating some template ourselves
08:54
BAndiT1983
don't think that creating a template is that difficult, even with holes and tabs to fold in etc.
08:55
BAndiT1983

sure, I will test cut one this afternoon
09:12
BAndiT1983
seen some people designing dielines in fusion360 as metal sheet, for folding etc., maybe you can try that in onshape

worked pretty well
21:14
se6astian
also the groves, just a less power/higher movement speed run
21:15
se6astian
allowed to fold back the paper away from the burn groove nicely
21:15
se6astian
of course the package gets weaker there then...
