MEETING TIME, who is here?
17:00
BAndiT1983_
is here
17:01
se6astian
great BAndiT1983_ can you give us a brief update of the new developments you worked on?
17:03
BAndiT1983_
yes, not much to tell, but currently i'm extending the webui with general command buttons, so the users can start and stop things, like main axiom service or HDMI, also reboot or power off the camera, most things are done, now a bit of diving into react is required, to implement in proper way the confirm dialog
17:03
BAndiT1983_
also researching some other things, but this relates to axiom remote and has no real value at the moment
17:03
BAndiT1983_
that would be it
17:05
se6astian
right, many thanks
17:05
se6astian
vup/anuejn any news from your side?
17:05
se6astian
Bertl: I think you might have some things to share as well?
17:05
Bertl
yes
17:05
se6astian
please go ahead
17:06
Bertl
well, we recently tested binning with the newly modified gateware and a proof of concept was done to get 'live' binned data reconstructed after raw capture
17:07
Bertl
this seems to be working reasonably well but we discovered a few potential issues which need to be looked into
17:07
Bertl
first, the frame rate doesn't scale as much as we expected when using binning and thus only transfering a quarter of the usual data
17:08
Bertl
(this could still be a non issue with proper timing)
17:08
Bertl
then we have some 'new' artefacts which come with the binning settings like a fixed row dependency which seems to repeat every four rows
17:09
Bertl
this pattern makes kind of sense when we consider that a single readout/transfer now contains four rows
17:10
Bertl
this pattern might be easy to correct after raw recording but there is also a chance that we can fix/improve this with proper sensor register settings
17:10
Bertl
the sensor registers (especially the undocumented ones) seem to have a lot of impact on binning and we probably need to figure those out as well
17:11
Bertl
in the near future we plan to address the A/B frame transfer on a single capture link as well, but that hasn't happened yet
17:11
Bertl
that's it from my side for this week
17:12
se6astian
many thanks!
17:12
se6astian
quick updates from my side:
17:12
se6astian
we got an official GOSH application grant rejection by now, they were kind enough and gave some feedback
17:12
se6astian
we are not "science" enough
17:13
se6astian
more dev kit components preparations from my side, plus dev kit assembly
17:13
se6astian
visited manfred last week and pick up new cnc milled microzed heatsinks
17:13
se6astian
he also successfully engraved the plastic sheets for the ZIF socket frame
17:14
se6astian
brought him more rubber for feet and plastic sheets for laser cutting
17:14
se6astian
while preparing components we discovered some we need with lead time of 1-2 years
17:14
se6astian
so we will need to figure that out somehow....
17:15
se6astian
I think thats it from my side
17:15
se6astian
anyone else who wants to report/share?
17:18
se6astian
ok then, many thanks Bertl & BAndiT1983_!
