| 15:01 | k0fein | hi guys, I've seen in some apertus irc logs discussion about magewell, since I couldn't find any usable info on the net and documentation itself is inconclusive and in contradiction with my tests, id like to ask - can MWCapture* functions correctly capture frame in different resolution from source?
| 15:10 | Bertl | hello k0fein!
| 15:11 | Bertl | we haven't been using MWCapture to capture frames, but, depending on the magewell hardware you are using (USB or PCI) you can program/configure the capture resolution
| 15:13 | k0fein | I'm using Pro capture SDKv3. Cool, so you're saying I can tell the SDK that I want to capture in 720p (for example) yet I know my source signal is 1080p and the SDK will rescale it (efficiently I suppose) somwhere on the background (maybe on the card itself) and deliver 720p frame to me, correct?
| 15:22 | Bertl | yep, that's how it is supposed to work
| 15:22 | Bertl | depending on the scaling and capture resoultion it might affect the frame rate (if the conversion is too heavy)
| 15:23 | k0fein | cool! thanks!
| 15:40 | Bertl | you're welcome!
