Hello there ! for timecode, it would be really cool to provide some additional features, like emit timecode somehow from the camera (or another box) and have several receivers to output it back to various devices.

yes, bbc often releases setups where all their levels are at reference

and its a set of standards, but each camera has profiles, so they often have one for each pro-camera

and sound-levels

each video-person has his own settings too, on a uSD card

do broadcasters usually have rules for the lenses allowed?

We have anything from default zooms to colour-gray stuff with handles, different people have different equipment

And up untill now nothing has been marked, or had old marking, which can also fall off if you are unlucky

One thing that would be nice is naming the camera in the menu, so you know its camera 3 for example

the BBC's guidelines have info about minimum requirements for the cameras themselves; eg, digibeta for SD, HDCAM for HD

but I couldn't see info about the types of lenses permitted

i dont think there is a limit on the lenses

obviously its not junk, but the lenses hold up really well.

Right now its 1080i for TV, and often 4k for web, so depending on if the material has value far into the future, the quality of the gear that is used goes up

The worst stuff we have is gopro 3+, used for convenient angles and risky things.

instead of studio cameras with box lenses

going to rig down some lighting in a news studio tomorrow, will take note of cameras
