we enabled the driver in kernel 5.2 (where they are not marked as stable) and they seem to not properly implement ap mode

the thing that "got worse" is that we noticed the ones we thought were working well started to randomly cause hangs and freezes or not work

I looked around quite a bit already but the choice of linux supported, soft-ap enabled available products is pretty slim, the Ralink is the only option we did not try yet
