| 08:28 | EmilJ | hi all
| 08:30 | EmilJ | vup2: have you had the chance to look at the snippet with the pynq kernel args and devicetree yet? https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/2060514
| 09:38 | vup2 | EmilJ: yep, but for some reason it still doesn't even work in qemu: https://github.com/apertus-open-source-cinema/axiom-firmware/pull/181
| 09:39 | vup2 | but you can try it if you want: https://api.cirrus-ci.com/v1/artifact/task/4633069602734080/image_upload/build/axiom-pynqz2-pr-181-60704eb5.img.xz
| 12:21 | EmilJ | Well, that's a pain... Thanks for testing it. What would you say is the preferred dev platform? I
| 12:22 | EmilJ | *'ll be in touch with people from my school's department of optics looking for a master's thesis topic, and one of the options is a demonstrator for visible light communications for video transmission, so it would make sense to use such an open and modifiable system as the axiom micro for things like that
| 12:24 | vup2 | well the axiom-firmware stuff is tested on a zturn lite and a microzed, so both work fine. The zturn lite is a lot cheaper. As for the axiom micro, the current revision has some hardware bugs, but anuejn and I are currently developing the next revision that should have those fixed.
| 12:24 | vup2 | Nonetheless, it should be able to get stuff running on the pynq
| 12:24 | vup2 | I am pretty sure this is just some stupid mistake somewhere, but I have not had the time yet to track it down
| 12:31 | anuejn | EmilJ: the next revision of the micro should be ready in the next few month :)
| 12:32 | anuejn | if you are interested you can influence its design still ;)
