i mean the way it is made.. to split the image into smaller parts, that can be processed in parallel (but that was a specific of prores long time ago, yet no other codec used that)

is the image stored in debayered form or as sensel data?

the partial debayer means they convert it to some pseudo YCbCr bayerish raw (which is just equivalent for the dng raw predictor)

But now it's quite clear

for now, I'm quite sure I would love to help with image sensor integration (so sensorinterface board v2 is a place for me for sure)

currently the image sensor we are using provides 64 LVDS pairs

but the image sensor can also be operated with 32, 16, 8, 4, etc lanes halfing the throughput with each step

so we are currently operating it at 32 lanes

that FPGA could also do other kind of preprocessing

ok, so are there any more crucial areas to work on? As for me, 4K RAW recording, color calibration and FPN noise calibartion are also interesting areas. And how about actual sensor board? Is it ready?

4K RAW recording, color calibration and FPN noise calibartion are great areas, much easier to collaborate as things can be done remotely and in software
