anuejn[m]

14:49
anuejn[m]
(i could do debayering algoritms, maybe se6astian , Bertl or RexOrCine can instruct us for an smd soldering workshop)
14:51
anuejn[m]
i think it is a quite good location to find new developers and make workshops in the main fields

btw. will a1ex be there?
15:01

anuejn, that would be great but it requires quite an amount of equipment
15:01
se6astian
microscope, hotplate, soldering irons, etc.

on the soldering workshop: i'm not sure if soldering is allowed outside the hardware hacking area and you also shouldn't forget to bring light sources, since the normal lighting will likely not be sufficient
16:48
se6astian
also good points

when the congress was still in hamburg, i did a smd soldering with stencil and solder past workshop and lighting was one of the two big problems
17:20
felix_
the other problem was the solder paste not arriving at a friends dorm room in time, so we had to find solder paste in hamburg, which was suprisingly difficult...
17:22
felix_
oh and if your're really planning to do a soldering workshop, i'd suggest that you talk to mitch altman; he usually organizes big part of the hardware hacking area and is quite helpful
17:26

oh and doing a workshop eats a lot of time; the workshop i organized with a friend ate away maybe 1,5 conference days. the feedback of the attendants was quite positive though, so it definitely didn't feel like wasted time to me
