just found another side for what I can do without beta dev kit, I think I will focused on Axiom Remote for now.

it's full touchscreen operation, using STM32F4.

hey tjstyle! regarding remote: why not ... but note that we also finished the first prototype hardware for the AXIOM remote recently

while it features a touch sensitive display, the folks responsible for the ergonomics decided to focus on 'real buttons' for the haptic feeling and feedback instead of touch

yes, I was read in wiki then I will take a look for the prototype as base for my design.

and yes, I will also add real button also haptic feedback for touch and encoder using motor buzzer.

that might be your area of expertise while at the same time reasonably independant from the axiom camera

hmm, audio shield was also interesting area.

i.e. the remote gets the power via USB and data is exchanged between remote and camera

ok, that's possible also in STM32.

I also think about using USB or UART

uart will more easy with defined protocol than usb I think

the prototype we did (for the remote) features USB, UART and I2C as potential interfaces

So I will make my own design based on prototype design above, no problem if my design will not submited as officiall Axiom remote. only as alternative remote.

STM32 have 16 EXTI pin input, 2 encoder will take 4 EXTI. so 12 left for buttons

anuejn headphone out needs an amplifier
