Hi BAndiT1983
11:52
Y_G
I tried to segregate the scripts into which adapters they might use here -> https://pastebin.com/B7ChNCx3
11:54
Y_G
However I'm not sure about the modularity and whether these functionalities are required in daemon or not

hi Y_G, will take a look later, but we need to discuss with Bertl_zZ and se6astian, probably vup and anuejn_ can also say something about the scripts and what they are used for
12:21
BAndiT1983

vup
Y_G: i think the goals is to have atleast every functionality that talks to the hardware (be it the pic's, shared memory regions with the fpga, i2c, and so on) handled by the daemon
13:29
vup
s/goals/goal
13:30
vup
(which is basically the adapters you already marked in the pastebin)
13:31
illwieckz

13:34
vup
but i think it would be good to prioritize things used in everyday handling of the camera
13:35
vup
so for example things like gamma_conf
13:35
vup
mat4_conf
13:43
Y_G
The adapters are already in place , we now need to make use of them to move scripts to daemon
13:43
Y_G
gamma_conf can use the memoryAdapter
13:46
Y_G
mat4_conf can also use the memoryAdapter
13:47
Y_G
I could start with them , Thanks for the help
13:52
Y_G
Also ,This is the list of camera control parameters that I have, But BAndiT1983|away told me this is outdated
13:52
Y_G
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1avhqneK2whvau_XBEGza_ujum8SB4EgMCl6i5aC9e18/edit#
13:52
Y_G
So if we have any discrete parameters that need to be added ,please update them here

Y_G, hasn't said "outdated" about parameters, but merely that some of them are not available yet, as gateware or firmware is not prepared
16:27
se6astian
and this is explained with every parameter in the note coloumn

Hey florent , The gpio pins of ft601 can be used to set the mode and number of channels, but how do we set the in , out or inout mode of a channel?
20:05
apurvanandan[m]
_florent__ And are there other ways apart from GPIO to configure the modes ?
20:07
Bertl
the settings can be changed via USB and they can also be configured in the eeprom

apurvanandan[m]
Bertl Ok then I didn't miss any, but I am unsure about how to set in out setting of a channel
20:16
Bertl
I don't think you can set it on a per channel basis
20:17
Bertl
AFAICT, you can only choose between 4,2,1 channels (IN and OUT) and 1 OUT or 1 IN pipe
20:22
apurvanandan[m]
So how to choose 1 OUT pipe? As I am using only one channel( it is more efficient)
20:23
Bertl
set the 'Channel Configuration'
20:27
apurvanandan[m]
Ok Thanks :)

might be a bit oftopic, but i wonder if there's some name for lighting a scene from the two sides, where the light from one side is blue-green-ish and from the other side red-orange-ish. i've seen the effect being used quite a few times and it worked quite well, so i also wonder why this works quite well

felix_ It's called amber and teal. Why the contrasts you describe work well is a psychological matter.

RexOrCine
Should also be noted that creating a contrast of two approximately opposite colours lends greater scope for effecting hue and so considerably changing a shot's feel in post.
