Bertl
morning folks!
14:18
Bertl
apurvanandan[m]: well, there is no embedded clock but a separate (related) clock, so it is definitely not your type 2
14:18
Bertl
the example has 8/10/12 bit so they cannot be 8/10 encoded either, so type 3 is out as well
14:20
Bertl
there is no bit interleaving, just plain old data, so it can't be type 4 either
14:20
Bertl
(note this is for task 1 of the challenge)
14:21
Bertl
if you are referring to task 3 of the VHDL challenge, then it is up to you to choose the coding

Thank u, sorry for so silly doubts

pic one or more tasks which sound interesting to you or propose your own ... start working on the challenge tasks and get to know the community
20:36
gautam
Thank you.I have gone through that .It says in description "To apply for this task please complete this mandatory coding challenge together with your application: T871".
20:36
gautam
So do we have any github or we need to write from scratch.
20:38
Bertl
for the challenge task the idea is to write something from scratch
20:39
Bertl
doesn't need to be fancy (although it might impress us :) but should be well documented (ideally self explaining code) and proper style and indentation
20:40
gautam
Where should we submit
20:41
Bertl
best way is to upload your code somewhere and then message one of the mentors with the URL to check your solution, the final submission is done with the GSoC application
20:55
