good morning :)

se6ast1an: can you check if there is axiom micro related mechanical material at the hub?
11:21
anuejn
I think i am now at the point to output live video from the micro but sadly I miss the parts to build a micro with optics in front :(
11:43
anuejn
ah everything is fine, i found my stuff :see_no_evil:

anuejn: nice! is there any latency involved?
12:54
anuejn
normally about one frame
12:55
anuejn
the architecture is actually rather similiar to the one on the beta
12:55
BAndiT1983
is it solely for the micro at the moment or will you apply the knowledge also to the beta pipeline?
12:59
anuejn
hm... dont know yet
12:59
anuejn
but most building blocks are rather general
13:00
anuejn
I think I have to talk to bertl about this
13:00
anuejn
but most of the blocks have fewer features & use more resources
13:01
anuejn
however I think they are a bit easier to understand and more "pluggable" (as in you can glue them more easily together)
13:03
BAndiT1983
as far as i remember, one had to apply proper bitstream for different frequencies and similar, also there were many different configs for different recorders
13:03
BAndiT1983
don't know the current state, but usability would be good, or at least some command line tool for HDMI settings (if nothing is there yet)
13:04
anuejn
the main problem there is figuring out the correct values to runtime reconfigure the plls
13:04
anuejn
that is doable but requires further research
13:05
BAndiT1983
how does it work for proprietary devices? just a general question, as i haven't check the handshake of HDMI, or is it usually done by some proprietary chip there?

there is no 'handshake' per se, there is EDID information on the sink side, and the source got to pick one of the supported modes
