05:41 | Bertl | off to bed now ... have a good one everyone!

| |
07:03 | se6astian | good day
| |
15:01 | Bertl_zZ | changed nick to: Bertl
| |
15:01 | Bertl | morning folks!
| |
17:00 | se6astian | MEETING TIME, who is here?
| 17:00 | Bertl | is here ...
|
17:01 | se6astian | any news to report Bertl?
| |
17:02 | Bertl | well, I missed to report the completion of the four Betas last week (or maybe even the week before that ;)
| |
17:02 | se6astian | that was great news indeed
| |
17:02 | Bertl | and there is some progress on the contract work for LAM/INT
| |
17:02 | se6astian | 2 have already shipped by now
| |
17:03 | se6astian | one today
| |
17:03 | se6astian | one last week
| |
17:03 | se6astian | can you tell us more about the sequencer work for LAM?
| |
17:04 | Bertl | sure, first I created a test/work environment for the required changes to the FPGA as well as kernel side
| |
17:04 | Bertl | this included updating to a recent Linux kernel (5.16.11) as well as having native compile support for driver and userspace testing
| |
17:05 | Bertl | the first step was to get the interrupts working and tested, which has already been completed last week, so we now can trigger PL-PS interrupts which is what we need to move the sequencer to kernel/userspace
| |
17:06 | Bertl | for the Linux side, I'm currently working with the UIO interrupt driver which allows to handle those interrupts in userspace (with a generic kernel driver)
| |
17:07 | Bertl | the FPGA sequencer has been removed already too and I'm currently shuffling around the registers spaces to accomodate for the changes
| |
17:08 | Bertl | timing wise tests look good, we can 'respond' in userspace within 25 HDMI pixel which should be more than sufficient to switch the buffers around
| |
17:09 | Bertl | still needs some testing to confirm that we can do a userspace solution here (which would be optimal) but if not, we can still do a kernel driver which handles the switching
| |
17:09 | Bertl | that's it from my side for this week
| |
17:11 | se6astian | great, many thanks for the update
| |
17:11 | se6astian | quick updates from my side
| |
17:11 | se6astian | we have been added to https://projects.openhardware.science/ today
| |
17:11 | se6astian | apparently we did not get the GOSH funding as we did not receive any email notification and the thread also has not been udpated ;(
| |
17:12 | se6astian | I did some wiki housekeeping to clean up the GSoC pages
| |
17:12 | se6astian | also the website workgroup met last week and made some progress with new templates and samples (bandit helped with CSS
| |
17:12 | se6astian | samples

| |
17:14 | se6astian | the workgroup will meet again on thursday
| |
17:14 | se6astian | oscar sent me some pictures of 3d print progress but will wait for him to share those in the group when ready
| |
17:15 | se6astian | manfred also sent me picture of the laser cut ZIF frame
| |
17:15 | se6astian | cutting works great with the dvd case material
| |
17:15 | se6astian | engraving not so much
| |
17:15 | se6astian | as its black on black, so not really readable
| |
17:16 | se6astian | but we can just label it another way, no big deal
| |
17:16 | se6astian | I will visit manfred soon to supply him with more dvd cases and to test the ZIF socket glueing
| |
17:17 | se6astian | thats it from my side
| |
17:17 | se6astian | anyone else who wants to report/share?
| |
17:20 | se6astian | ok, then, thanks Bertl! and I hope to see more progress reports again soon, MEETING CONCLUDED
| |
17:23 | Bertl | as usual, thanks for the moderation!
| |
17:25 | se6astian | as usual, my pleasure :D
