FergusL
I had a nice network outage on the server... didn't get what happened exactly...

FergusL
se6astian: well I just continued forward to complete up to 79 but I'm going to stop for a moment I think to implement the time calculation
16:18
Bertl
http://paste.linux-vserver.org/40132 this might help

Bertl: why didn't you hardcode fot_overlap as 1701 ? the datasheet includes it as what looks like a constant : Exposure time (ns) = [(Exp_time-1) x (reg85+1) + 1701] x LVDS_CLK_P/N-period x #bits
16:49
Bertl
well, it can be easily changed with register 82
16:50
Bertl
so hardcoding it would give wrong results if register 82 is not at the correct setting
16:50
FergusL
ok so it has to be implemented as such in our metadata reader, just weird that it's written like that in the doc...
16:51
Bertl
there is a lot of weird stuff in the (mostly incomplete) data sheet
16:51
FergusL
ok
16:52
FergusL
also, register 82 and 85 simply means the-16-bits-from-register-N and is trivial to get ?
16:52
Bertl
reg82 and reg85 is the 16bit register value, yes, and it is part of the metadata/register dump
16:53
FergusL
yes
16:53
FergusL
thanks
16:55
FergusL
Bertl: what is "fot" in fot overlap ?
16:55
FergusL
it looks like some offest
16:56
Bertl
FOT is the acronym used for Frame Overhead Time
16:56
FergusL
oh ok
16:57
Bertl
it is mentioned in the datasheet and shown in the timing
17:01
Bertl
the FOT is basically the time required to transfer the voltage from the sensel to the hold buffer(s)
17:11
FergusL
STBTT, Sensel To Buffer Transfer Time

off for now ... bbl
