Hello, Bertl! Are you available? I need to ask some questions about the main board...
16:07
Bertl_oO
don't ask to ask ... simply ask :)
16:07
bluez_[m]
ok ok
16:08
bluez_[m]
first off, the pcie 36 mentioned in the schematic... that is a connector i presume? and not so to say a "chip" ?
16:09
Bertl_oO
yes
16:10

https://wiki.apertus.org/index.php/Beta_Main_Board
16:10
bluez_[m]
ok, so the pin numbers here A1, B1 etc. are correctly shown? Cuz when i searched in the internet about pcie x1 pinout i found the mappings odd...
16:10
Bertl_oO
check the names, e.g. PCIE-NORTH, PCIE-SOUTH
16:11
Bertl_oO
also the easiest way to investigate is to get Eagle and load the schematic as well as the board layout, this way you can click on a part or pin in the schematic and see it highlighted on the board
16:13
bluez_[m]
<Bertl_oO "also the easiest way to investig"> ohhh i see... i was just looking at the pdf till now ':D... that would be really helpful
16:14
bluez_[m]
and what about the DF12... i found it is a board to board connector... so this is where we get the i2c connection from Zynq?
16:14
Bertl_oO
btw, the best choice IMHO is to grab the Eagle 7.7.0 version
16:15
Bertl_oO
which is the last one before autodesk acquired cadsoft and thus needs no online registration, etc
16:15
bluez_[m]
<Bertl_oO "btw, the best choice IMHO is to "> will do!
16:15
Bertl_oO
you can still get it from ftp.cadsoft.de
16:15
bluez_[m]
<Bertl_oO "which is the last one before aut"> ouu i see
16:16
Bertl_oO
OTOH, if you already have an autodesk subscription, you should be able to open the files as well
16:16
bluez_[m]
<Bertl_oO "you can still get it from ftp.ca"> thanks!
16:16
Bertl_oO
(.sch is the schematic and .brd the layout)
