| 10:34 | rainer_vie | hi
| 10:39 | rainer_vie | what do you think about adding a super16 sized sensor like this one: https://www.aptina.com/products/dslr/ar1011hs/
| 11:15 | Bertl | basically that would be fine, but the aptina sensors seem to be a bad choice for several reasons: for one, they are very secret about them and you won't get datasheets easily (try it) and then they use HiSPi another proprietary protocol which isn't openly available
| 11:16 | rainer_vie | ah ok... thx for info... so aptina is not a godd choice
| 11:16 | Bertl | so, to even consider it, we would at least require openly available datasheet and protocol documentation
| 11:19 | Bertl | from the technical side, the rolling shutter is not the best option either, but power consumption and sensitivity seem to be fine for the given sensor size
| 11:21 | Bertl | from the package, socketing is non trivial, although I think there are sockets available
| 11:35 | rainer_vie | ok thx
| 11:38 | Bertl | doesn't mean that you a) can't try to convince them to open up, or b) find a similar sensor from a different (more open) manufacturer

| 11:56 | Bertl | nice, maybe filter them a little based on obvious criteria?
| 12:00 | rainer_vie | i will looking a little bit into it

| 19:12 | troy_s | se6astian: Do you think that with such a ridiculously small number of current involvement that another mailing list is needed?
| 19:13 | troy_s | (Seems a wee bit like getting a larger fishbowl for a few guppies.)
| 21:10 | se6astian | well the risk we take to create a new one is low
| 21:10 | se6astian | so if it does not work out no harm done
| 21:10 | se6astian | but if it does work it would be a great benefit for users and for us
| 21:11 | se6astian | also its a good message to say we already provide a communication channel to connect those who share the desire/interested in the Beta
| 21:12 | se6astian | once the campaign will get more defined the number of guppies could turn into a large swarm :)
| 21:12 | se6astian | anyway
| 21:12 | se6astian | time for bed!
| 21:12 | se6astian | good night

| 21:15 | Bertl | and it would be significantly more work to move folks from one group to the other when that happens :)
