hola guys, I was wondering is there any available description of the axiom directory?
20:03
sergio__[m]
what is bootloader and common doing?
20:05
BAndiT1983
bootlaoder is the bootloader obviously, which is not activated yet, but implementation started
20:05
BAndiT1983
common contains common code for firmware and bootloader
20:08
sergio__[m]
and in qualification task link to the video is given which shows all buttons are working on board. is there some version 1 already implemented?
20:09
sergio__[m]
> bootlaoder is the bootloader obviously, which is not activated yet, but implementation started
20:09
sergio__[m]
so firmware part is the one which interacts with the board and provides output to axiom remote visualizer?
20:09
BAndiT1983
it was the C version of the firmware
20:10
BAndiT1983
at the moment yes, but later the bootloader will be the main communication provider
20:10
sergio__[m]
> it was the C version of the firmware
20:10
sergio__[m]
where is it presently?
20:10
BAndiT1983
in the archive folder
20:13
sergio__[m]
can we run firmware in our system with remote connection to board.?
20:14
sergio__[m]
like is there any simulator or something?
20:14
BAndiT1983
nope, as it's firmware, obviously, it needs to be flashed to the board
20:14
BAndiT1983
not that i would know of any pic32 emulator/simulator, that's why we have a visualizer, which replicates some parts of the board
20:18
sergio__[m]
right,
20:18
sergio__[m]
doe master branch still contains old remote code in C.?
20:19
sergio__[m]
and why to shift from c to c++?
20:20
sergio__[m]
sent a long message: < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/dTdkMFilIxmhFKahLmexpfJC >
20:22
BAndiT1983
shift was done, as C tended in spaghetti code and many repetitions, which is rather difficult to maintain
20:22
BAndiT1983
the code is in the archive folder, like i wrote before, also on dev branch
20:23
sergio__[m]
so does Master branch holds the most stable roll out?
20:24
BAndiT1983
you can check the github chart to see which branch is the more active one at the moment, have described it already before, that master is for stable releases (at least in the future) and dev for actual development
20:25
sergio__[m]
pic16 EW deals with button interaction and pic32 deals with display, is this correct?
20:26
BAndiT1983
pic16s deliver signals, which buttons are pressed and which direction the knob was turned, to pic32
20:26
sergio__[m]
