troy_s, btw there is a feature in the sensor (curently disabled I guess) to add a two knees at the analogic conversion level. It is supposed to enhance dynamic range, altough, we don't know yet if it will be worth the effort (noise-wise). You read about it in the sensor datasheet. Altough it has nothing todo with current colour calibration concerns.
