15:28
BAndiT1983
Bertl, is the right one to ask
15:29

Aha, so should i send an email to "*email address removed*" or post my question here anyway ?
15:29

you can post it also here, he is online

Hey Elbehery!
15:49
Elbehery
Hello
15:50
Elbehery
i have many questions regarding the fan controller :D i even started writing a very small verilog prototype in order to model this
15:50
Bertl
well, let's hear then ...
15:52
Elbehery
ok, 1- what is connected to the i2c bus? .. as far as i understand its only an I2c temp. sensor and the i2c/PWM module that will be built. is this correct ?
15:53
Bertl
actually nothing will be connected on the i2c bus right now, it is the interface to control the PWM part
15:54
Bertl
i.e. the FPGA the PWM controller is running on (MachXO2) has a direct connection to another FPGA (Zynq)
15:54
se6astian|away
changed nick to: se6astian
15:54
Bertl
T731 is to address this communication
15:55
Bertl
the temperature sensor(s) are distributed over the various boards and will be handled outside the FPGA
15:55
Elbehery
Ohh, so this pwm interface is just an i2c slave am i getting this correctly ?
15:56
Bertl
probably the most important sensor is on the Zynq itself which measures the die temperature
15:56
Bertl
yep, that's correct
15:58
Elbehery
great, i started writing an early prototype of an i2c slave in verilog, with a testbench is it okay if i sent the github repo. now and maybe you give me your feedback or its too early for doing this ?
15:59
Elbehery
Its my first time to work on an opensource project i know this might sound unprofessional :D please let me know if so
16:00
Bertl
no problem with that ... note that all our designs so far are in VHDL, but verilog is not a problem per se, you just have to figure out how to make it work in a mixed design
16:02
Elbehery
aha, i have never working in designed that require both verilog, vhdl. but i will try to figure this out.
16:02
Elbehery
Okay almost finished testing, uploading the repo. i will send the github link here once i am done
16:03
Bertl
sounds good, maybe get a lab account (if not already done) and add it as comment there?
16:04
Elbehery
Great i will create an account now and post a comment under the idea page
16:07

@BAndiT1983 - Hey , Have you included the path to QtAV header files in the standard include paths while configuring ?
16:21
BAndiT1983
it's done by cmake, no need to do it manually

Hi, is django needed for the REST Interface project ? There is a resource link on that task leading to a O'reilly book "Test-Driven Development with Python", it is advised to read 1-4 chapters, it has py and django based app development content.

hi anuditverma, you should discuss it with maltefiala, post your question in the lab, we aggreed, that he is the main mentor for the task, i'm just providing additional support for the internal parts

Hey BAndit1983 , I did few changes in CMakeLists.txt of the root folder- http://pastebin.com/x24mPS8t , I changed the path . By doing this , that error was corrected but now i have an another error - http://pastebin.com/YMqmd0rB

it seems that your system does not build .so files

BAndiT1983
check if libqtav.so and libqtavwidgets is available after the build
18:51
BAndiT1983
*are available
18:52
BAndiT1983
still wondering that you need to adjust cmakelists.txt, qtav_project is a name which is used internally in the cmake settings, but the main folder is still called QtAV on my machine
18:53
BAndiT1983
will rollback the VM soon and try it while building dev VM for OC, afterwards it will be available from apertus ftp
18:54
BAndiT1983
also check if ffmpeg dev libs are available, as the errors also suggest that undefined references are belonging to ffmpeg
18:55
Roopal08
I cannot find both libqtav.so and libqtavwidgets after the build
18:56
BAndiT1983
that's the cause of undefined reference
18:56
BAndiT1983
they should be here after succesful build of QtAV -> /home/dev/Source/OpenCine_build/3rdParty/QtAV/src/QtAV_project-build
18:58
BAndiT1983
this line in cmakelists.txt of OCui should output the location -> message(WARNING "QtAV BINARY_DIR: ${BINARY_DIR}")

BAndiT1983
i've marked most messages with warning, so they stand out while terminal spits out a ton of messages
19:00
Roopal08
It is present in this folder ~/Source/OpenCine_build/3rdParty/QtAV/src/QtAV_project-build/lib
19:00
Roopal08
both libqtav.so and libqtavwidgets
19:00
BAndiT1983
then it should be fine, my build is empty at the moment, so i was missing the /lib thing
19:02
BAndiT1983
is this the output of QtAV_BINARY_DIR?

19:08
Roopal08
Output of QtAV_BINARY_DIR is /home/roopal/Source/OpenCine_build/3rdParty/QtAV/src/QtAV_project-build
19:08
BAndiT1983
funny thing, you are right about extending from qt to qtavproject, but what's more funny, it still builds without a change, now in qtcreator :D
19:09
BAndiT1983
your path seems ok, but something is still not right, maybe my machine is more tolerant to that stuff
19:09
BAndiT1983
i will adjust the paths for future use
19:15
BAndiT1983
i've committed typo fix, but it still does not guarantee a successful build, at least it seems so according to your log
19:18
BAndiT1983
are you using x64 or x86 machine? as undefined reference can also occur if the lib is not binary compatible

19:29
BAndiT1983
are the .so files available or not?
19:30
BAndiT1983
there should be 6 .so files for QtAV, under /home/dev/Source/OpenCine_build/3rdParty/QtAV/src/QtAV_project-build/lib
19:31
Roopal08
They are available but the undefined reference error is cropping
19:31
BAndiT1983
have you installed ffmpeg dev libs?
19:32
Roopal08
Yes, I ran this command sudo apt-get install git cmake build-essential freeglut3-dev libavformat-dev libswscale-dev libavfilter-dev libavdevice-dev libavresample-dev
19:32
Roopal08
Is this fine?
19:32
BAndiT1983
should be, i've posted the command after testing
19:32
BAndiT1983
also retested it several times afterwards
19:32
BAndiT1983
you still using elementary os?
19:32
Roopal08
yes
19:33
Roopal08
All 6 files are present
19:33
BAndiT1983
it is possible that the libs there are older
19:33
BAndiT1983
i mean ffmpeg ones
19:33
BAndiT1983
as the methods it's complaining about are very similar to ffmpeg ones
19:37
Roopal08
Can you send library versions installed in your pc?
19:38
BAndiT1983
just a moment, have to take a look how to find the version
19:40
BAndiT1983
libavformat-dev:amd64 7:2.8.11-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 amd64
19:40
BAndiT1983
libswscale-dev:amd64 7:2.8.11-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 amd64
19:41
BAndiT1983
other have the same version it seems
19:41
Roopal08
yeah i have 6:9.20-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 amd64
19:42

20:27

20:27
Roopal08
What should be my next step
20:28
BAndiT1983
as you wanted to do debayering you should look through ProcessingTest, it's a mess, but should be still usable
20:29
Roopal08
okkay . Will look at it tomorrow . BBye gn and thanks for the help .
20:29
BAndiT1983
there are some debayering methods implemented in there, it was planned that for gsoc OC will be extended by different algorithms, for example SHOODAK which we got from a guy who is also interested in apertus cameras
