just to share a crazy idea with you : i am a former photographer from the analog age, i used to develop films and prints

now i have a bush of very cool cameras like pentax mx, quite analog and mechanical camera, very nice to use...

i followed some old projects from 2001 and 2008 but quite industial and closed source : it existed a short time

if like me you want to make digital pictures with your Leica, Nikon FM, or nice 35mm cameras because it was so cool to use, tell me ;)

You mean something like a digital back? Your camera would just have the function as a lens adapter. As we use E-mount at the moment you can choose from a wide pallette af adapters. I'm sure you'll find an adapter for all your lenses. >> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_E-mount#Available_adapters

i think of a form factor like the roll film and some sensor in place of the film

the goal should be to leave the camera as it is

well, you won't get away with a "small" sensor when you want to replace film

in 2001 the project was 1M pixels :)

I am not sure if they organized it as public event but if you are interested I am sure we can arrange something

Regarding prices we are currently at around 2300€ material/assembly cost with the Beta

but lets see how it develops, sensors might get cheaper and volumes might increase over time

sure it isn't the same project :)
