hi i probably won't be at the meeting today. last week i got SPI access to the sensor working which is good. then i started work on the PHY by learning how the existing code works and researching the tools and techniques usually used. this week i plan to implement the PHY including bit and word alignment

se6astian
eppisai: would you like to start reporting?
17:02
se6astian
vnksnkr: then after eppisai?
17:02
vnksnkr
Sure
17:02
eppisai
Yes..
17:03
eppisai
Hi.. so I had been working on debugging and optimization of my approch for transition task..
17:04
eppisai
Previously it was heavy on cpu so revisited everything with help from Andrej and have designed a bit different approach..
17:04
eppisai
But it is still crashing have been testing and debugging with help from Sebastian , andrej and metaldent
17:05
eppisai
Other than that, today I wrote unit tests for keyboard
17:05
eppisai
It works in progress.. for me
17:06
eppisai
That's it for now..
17:06
eppisai
*it's work in progress
17:07
se6astian
thanks, metaldent will send her remote hardware and flashing tools, uart adapters to you, this should also help speed up testing and development
17:07
se6astian
did you exchange addresses etc. already?
17:08
eppisai
Oh.. yea.. :)
17:08
metaldent
yes we did
17:08
eppisai
Thankyou!! :)
17:08
se6astian
great
17:09
se6astian
vnksnkr: please go ahead
17:09
vnksnkr
Sure
17:09
vnksnkr
So the JTAG interface seems to be working in simulation for now
17:11
vnksnkr
It basically shifts in commands that control the FSM and then goes into a loop of Capture and Shift stages until it receives command to send the next packet
17:12
vnksnkr
I need to look up on the timing requirements and Bertl said the hardware set up might be available soon so I can test it out
17:13
vnksnkr
Other than that did some planning on the testing framework
17:13
vnksnkr
That's it from my side
17:14
se6astian
many thanks!
17:14
vup
is here
17:15
se6astian
great, please go ahead vup if you have anything to report
17:15
se6astian
BAndiT1983, anuejn, manav, tpw_rules: are you here?
17:15
vup
not really a lot to report this week, I mostly worked with anuejn and tpw_rules on their gsoc projects
17:16
vup
tpw_rules mentioned ealier that he probably would not make it today, but left the following message:
17:16
vup
<tpw_rules> hi i probably won't be at the meeting today. last week i got SPI access to the sensor working which is good. then i started work on the PHY by learning how the existing code works and researching the tools and techniques usually used. this week i plan to implement the PHY including bit and word alignment
17:17
se6astian
many thanks!
17:18
se6astian
super quick updates from me:
17:18
se6astian
I didnt have as much time in the recent week as I hoped but spent a bit of it on setting up JTAG debuggin on the remote https://wiki.apertus.org/index.php/AXIOM_Remote/Development
17:18
se6astian
BAndiT1983 has greatly pushed it further then
17:18
se6astian
not 100% working yet but I feel we are getting close
17:19
se6astian
Bertl: do you want to finish?
17:19
Bertl
sure
17:20
Bertl
not too much time here either, but I managed to check the shield for the remote remote
17:21
Bertl
and indeed we used the wrong mosfets there, but I have the correct ones at home and will switch them out tonight
17:21
Bertl
I'm also currently assembling/reworking the first new Axiom Beta so that we can use it as temporary remote Beta for our students
17:22
Bertl
that's it from my side
17:22
se6astian
great, many thanks
17:23
se6astian
do you have an ETA for further betas? I would like to develop on one, and then sell the next, and next...
17:23
se6astian
with some offer on the website
17:24
Bertl
Assuming that the first one works as expected, we should be able to cherry pick boards and get a few working betas pretty soon
17:24
anuejn
is here but I am currently otherwise busy
17:24
se6astian
excellent!
17:25
anuejn
will report later
17:25
se6astian
ok anyone else who wants to report/share/discuss anything?
17:25
se6astian
thanks anuejn, we will read up on your report afterwards
17:28
se6astian
ok then, many thanks everyone who participated, MEETING CONCLUDED!

anuejn
I worked some more on the axiom recorder ui library
17:47
anuejn
after a lot of discussion with vup I rewrote many things and reconsidered some concepts
17:47
anuejn
(I am still in the process of getting "delta evaluation" to work; only recompute what has changed for performance reasons)
17:48
anuejn
thats it :)
