after a longer than expected break i started working last week

i made a lot of changes to my code, removed unused/redundant parts to make it look cleaner for debugging

after a few more tests, i'll add the checksum and sequence number parts (like the ones present in the USB code) and run the python host script

So, last to last week, I was working on porting Axiom vis, to windows also.. so it help beginners or people using windows to work on remote.. but was facing a bug in opengl, which made output completely white and crashed..

have written down steps to install SDL2 and SDL2_image in windows.. and made proper screen recording of the same.. after will write proper doc of the same..

nice, that would be a good addition to the github readme

and have opend the P.R for stringwidth task ,and once it gets reviewd, will open P.R for keyboard.. then Visualizer

its an simulated camera image preview, in the future lowering gain on the remote will make it darker for example

friday last week the last components were handed over to tele and they have received all distributor shipments as well for our order

yep, just some progress :)

so I fixed the address generator implementation... vivado was giving some trouble regarding the LUT INIT values.. so we set the proper INIT values and then I tested it.. works correctly

i also used generate statements and such as Bertl suggested to simplify the code

I think I am quite close... will get it done quickly before moving on... and finally change the INIT values correctly through partial dynamic reconfiguration

I have a quick update!

A big part of this is also how to make the color customization for the buttons as smooth as possible for the client code, and so I've discussed this with BAndiT1983 a lot

and indeed, the device is capable to digitize raw RGB data for FullHD (1920x1080) at up to 60FPS and it looks like there is even more potential

I did some tests to verify the correctness, basically a pseudo random image which gets digitized and can be checksummed on the receiver side

the device also support custom resolutions, so it might be possible to push this even further by creating our own data-transfer resolutions which use more of the HDMI bandwidth for that than currently

we can not get rid of all of it but about 5-10% might be doable.

this digitizer success motivated me to pick up the work on the experimental raw transfer and I have a number of ideas how to improve that

and I didn't want to go back to the older version

but it is relatively easy to add back and that's probably what I'll do in the first step

the long term goal is to split up the pipelines

i.e. separate input from output pipeline

this will allow to use the HDMI channel for 'normal' data transfer as well

which will be useful for e.g. capturing image sequences fast and then transfering the data

well, basically the output pipeline will be able to do memory transfers like DMA

decoupled from the input pipeline, frames can be acquired into memory and then sent over HDMI

but we have to see if the internal bandwidth is sufficient for that

actually, thinking about it, it should handle it pretty well

if both hdmi slots are transfering "data" the receiver might also be able to generate a realtime preview so you see what you are filming
