17:00 | se6astian | MEETING TIME
| |
17:00 | se6astian | who is here?
| 17:00 | Bertl | is here ...
|
17:01 | se6astian | the usual 2 suspects :)
| |
17:02 | se6astian | any news Bertl?
| |
17:04 | Bertl | yes, there has been some progress in various areas
| |
17:04 | se6astian | great, I am curios!
| |
17:04 | Bertl | first, I spent some value time on the Ultrascale side and figured out that the mainline kernel, while working in principle, does not support a number of features like the PL side video streams, etc
| |
17:05 | Bertl | so I started looking at the Xilinx (now AMD) kernel instead to see whether I can get a reasonably recent version working on the MYiR hardware
| |
17:06 | Bertl | and while there were some minor issues (the official MYiR kernel is quite old) I now have a fully working 6.6.x kernel running on the platform
| |
17:07 | Bertl | importantly this is with full display port support, SATA, PCIe (NVMe) and USB 3.x
| |
17:07 | se6astian | amazynq!
| |
17:07 | Bertl | ;)
| |
17:08 | Bertl | I also finished a few PCBs including the one which required some additional love
| |
17:08 | Bertl | so they should be ready tomorrow or so, just doing the final checks
| |
17:09 | Bertl | those include a debugger interface for the MYiR dev board as well as a simple debug plugin
| |
17:10 | Bertl | there was also some progress on the test PCBs for the AXIOM sensor boards but mostly testing and basic setup for programming
| |
17:10 | se6astian | great, let me know when I can place new pcb orders
| |
17:11 | Bertl | will do
| |
17:11 | Bertl | well, that's it from my side for this week
| |
17:11 | Bertl | btw, great news, CM5 is finally released
| |
17:11 | Bertl | (Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5)
| |
17:12 | Bertl | so we can easily create a recorder based on that in the future
| |
17:13 | se6astian | thanks!
| |
17:13 | se6astian | very cool!
| |
17:13 | se6astian | the IO side provides everything we would need on our own breakout board?
| |
17:14 | Bertl | yes, there should be everything available like on the RPi 5 just without the final connectors/interfaces
| |
17:14 | Bertl | board is relatively small and has two connectors for those
| |
17:18 | Bertl | there is also a breakout board which can be used as reference
| |
17:19 | se6astian | wonderful
| |
17:19 | se6astian | anyone else around who wants to report?
| |
17:21 | se6astian | ok then, MEETING CONCLUDED!
| |
17:21 | Bertl | thanks for the moderation!
| |
17:23 | se6astian | my pleasure
